When a trust is added as a prospect, the associated parties will empty, allowing you to add the parties, whereas an individual, the person is listed.

With a company that is imported from the Companies House, this will list all the historical and active Directors and PSCs.

This party has a previous relationship with the Company, this can be a Director or PSC.

In this situation, they have not been added to the People tab, you have the option to '+ add to contacts' this will allow you to use previous ID determinations if the status is changing, or the party can be removed from the profile if not required.

With the import, duplicate parties will occur. In this situation, you have the ability to merge the parties together within the entity.

It is good practice to merge within the People Tab, this ensures if the person is linked to multiple prospects you can merge the person and complete the electronic identity verification.

If you decide to merge the parties together within the company, select merge on the duplicate contact you no longer want to retain.

Once you select a contact, the following screen will appear.

Select merge to complete merging the parties.
