Understanding the parties within your entity

Updated over 10 months ago

When a trust is added as a client, the associated parties will empty, allowing you to add the parties, whereas an individual, the person is listed.

With a company that is imported from the Companies House, this will list all the historical and active Directors and PSCs.

Not Active

This party has a previous relationship with the Company, this can be a Director or PSC.

In this situation, they have not been added to the People tab, you have the option to '+ add to contacts' this will allow you to use previous ID determinations if the status is changing.

Duplicate Parties

With the import, duplicate parties can occur. In this situation, you can merge the parties within the entity.

It is good practice to merge within the People Tab, this ensures if the person is linked to multiple entities you can merge the person and complete the electronic identity verification.
