Understanding access roles and onboarding grants

Updated over a year ago

Access Roles give you control of who can use or see certain onboarding functions within Firmcheck. They have some degree of configuration and flexibility.

Access Roles can be set up by your firm to cover scenarios specific to you. Each Access Role is linked to grants. A grant is a very specific piece of functionality within Firmcheck.

You first set up an Access Role, and then assign which grants you want to be associated with it.

Only firm administrators have access to Create, Update or Remove access roles

  • Ability to submit AML and Onboarding for review

  • Ability to perform AML and Onboarding reviews

  • Acts in an MLRO capacity

  • Acts in MLCP capacity

When your firm is created, an 'All roles' access role is created, with all the onboarding granted applied. Typically this access role would be assigned to the firm admins to ensure a high-level overview of the firm.

Creating Access Roles

Firm administrators can create, update or remove access role profiles via Firm Settings>Settings>Edit firm profile.

What each grant does
