Performing a Manual ID Search
Updated over 4 months ago

When completing CDD for a client, you'll need to gather and verify a form of ID. When completing the proof of address, you'll need to provide a different form of ID than what was used for proof of identity.

Many clients prefer to do this manually, particularly for long-term or existing clients. This specific search is FREE of charge.

To get started, head to the "Verifications" tab in the CDD section.

Evidence of identity

Click on "Add document."

You'll then be prompted to upload the document and select the type of evidence from the available options.

Next, you'll need to verify that the personal details match exactly as they appear on the document.

The details in this area will be pulled through from the clients profile

This section is optional, but it's highly recommended to complete it with the necessary information.

Once you've uploaded both Proof of Identity and Proof of Address—each needing to be two separate forms of ID—you'll see a confirmation page with green ticks indicating that the documents have been successfully uploaded.

To carry out a PEP, Sanctions and Adverse media check free of charge, select this option from this section

The next step is to confirm the client's date of birth and run the verification check. Once the check returns successful results, you'll see a green tick along with a timestamp, confirming the process is complete.

Once you're confident that the verification process is complete, you can update the status of the "Verification" tab. Simply select the status from the dropdown menu, save the changes, and a date stamp will appear to confirm the update.
