The General tab is the area where you designate the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) for your firm. You can locate the general tab by selecting the dropdown beside your name in the top right-hand corner and selecting “Firm settings”
You may update this designation at any time by selecting the pencil icon, choosing a new MLRO from the available list, and saving your changes.
The list is populated by the staff members you have added in Firmcheck, if the desired staff member is not available in the drop down, ensure they have been added first in the staff tab.
The MLRO plays a critical role in ensuring your firm adheres to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, manages associated risks effectively, and maintains efficient communication with law enforcement agencies.
