How to get started with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) in Firmcheck

Updated over a week ago

To provide added security to your account in Firmcheck, we have added support for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). MFA provides another barrier to entry, alongside your password, to secure access to your account.

After you login in with your email and password, you will be prompted to enter a six-digit number that you'll receive on your phone through an authenticator app.

In this article, we will guide you through the process of installing such an authenticator app and adding MFA to your account.

Installing an Authenticator App on your Phone

We will demonstrate how to use MFA with the Google Authenticator app. This process will be similar if you choose to use another app. To get started, download the Google Authenticator app from the App Store for iPhone users or the Google Play Store for Android users.
