To submit identity verifications (IDV) to Companies House on behalf of your clients, your firm must register as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP).

While you can still complete ID verifications without registering, you must be an ACSP in order to declare these verifications with Companies House. Registering provides your firm with access to the Companies House ACSP portal, where you can manage and submit identity verification data directly.
Currently, ACSP registration is not mandatory if your firm chooses not to complete ID verifications on behalf of your clients. However, it is expected that future requirements will make ACSP registration necessary, for example, to allow you to submit confirmation statements.
Companies House provides detailed guidance on the registration process in their official documentation and webinar. We recommend reviewing both before starting your application.
